Paleochora

Paleochora has a distance of 77 kilometres south of Chania town in south-western Crete. It is called the Bride of the Libyan Sea and is built on a long but narrow peninsula which stretches into the Libyan Sea on the south side of Crete.

Two different types of marvellous beaches with crystal clear waters will be found on either side of the penisula: a sandy one "Pachia Ammos" to the west and a pebbly "Halikia" to the east.

For your stay, small hotels, rooms and apartments for rent, and two campsites are available in Paleochora. Everything else and all amenities the visitor may need for holidays is to be found in Paleochora too: plenty of restaurants and tavernas, a few bars for nightlife and cafeterias, an open-air cinema, souvenir shops, banks, a post office, a health center, atm machines, supermarkets, coast guard etc.

Enchanting walks through Paleochora's piqturesque streets and pathways, especially when sunset's time has come, are to be remembered for a lifetime.

Activities do not only include swimming, but also windsurfing, fishing, scuba diving and hiking.
